About Us

Vision

We aim to be the leading and most preferred diagnostic clinic in the Philippine overseas employment industry.

Mission

In order to attain our vision, we continually strive to provide world-class pre-employment medical examination to our clients to ensure that their Filipino applicants are physiologically and psychologically fit for overseas employment.

We aim to accomplish this by employing highly skilled and competent personnel; utilizing the latest and state-of-the-art medical equipment; and staying up-to-date to local and international standards especially those related to medical and diagnostic procedures.

We, at PDSCI, believe that pursuing innovations in the quality of our services will not only be widely beneficial to our clients, but also to the Overseas Filipino Workers.

1978 Physicians’ Diagnostic Services Center (PDSC) was established

1978 – Physicians’ Diagnostic Services Center (PDSC) was established by Dr. Pedro S. de Guzman. The clinic was located in Intramuros, Manila and was operated by only seven medical staff. Dr. Pedro specialized in occupational medicine.

On that same year, the clinic offered pre-employment medical examination services for companies such as the Central Textile Mills and the Manila North and South Harbor. Students from the Pamantasan ng Lungson ng Maynila also underwent their physical examination in the clinic. In the latter part of that year, Dr. Pedro saw that the number of Filipinos seeking employment abroad grew, so he decided to end PDSC’s corporate contracts and focus on the pre-employment medical examination (PEME) of Overseas Contract Workers (OCWs)

1984 The clinic gained accreditation from DOH & POEA

The clinic gained accreditation from the Department of Health (DOH) and the Overseas Employment and Development Board, now known as the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA). PDSC also started gaining accreditations from various agencies and government institutions. Shortly after, PDSC became one of the three clinics accredited by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

1988 PDSC moved from Intramuros to its own building

PDSC moved from Intramuros to its own building, the Physicians’ Tower along United Nations Avenue; the clinic occupied three floors of this nine story building. Dr. Pedro purchased medical equipment from Japan and Hong Kong and obtained laboratory equipment from multi national drug companies. As a result, the clinic was recognized as one of the most modern medical facilities in the PEME industry.

Present

With clinics located in five key cities in the Philippines – Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro – PDSCI is the biggest group of medical facilities specifically operated for the PEME needs of OFWs.

For almost 40 years, PDSCI has been a key in ensuring the health, welfare and productivity of the Filipino workforce.
